What is the ideal 2k erg time for someone looking to get a scholarship to college for rowing?

not the split time the actual amount of time it will take to complete the 2k. i'm a lightweight girl

The top lightweight teams will look for around 7:40.  Anything under 8:00 will get interest from many lightweight programs, but to get that scholarship you need 7:40, or better.

If you want a scholarship to row at a heavyweight program, you'll need to be ideally sub-7:30 - you'll need to show the coaches that you can compete with the big girls.
