Standard assumption is that the average human IQ is 100, give or take 15 points (85-115 = normal).  

There is no "ideal" IQ for a 17 year old, because IQ is suspected not to change much over time - that is, your IQ in childhood and your IQ in adulthood will be nearly the same.  What changes with age, of course, is knowledge - sometimes called "crystallized intelligence."  So whatever your IQ is, you're sort of stuck with it.

The good news is, IQ scores don't necessarily reflect anything other than how good you are at taking IQ tests.  I'm not familiar with Brain Age, but if it's a game, I wouldn't take it particularly seriously.  If you're interested, ask your school psychologist to IQ test you - that's what they do.  And they'll use a well-established and validated IQ test to do it.

My advice, however: don't worry about your IQ score.  It's just a number.  Keep your mind nimble by reading and doing puzzles, do your best in your classes, and try and enjoy learning!  That's the thing students always have a hard time with - but the best students I have had are the ones who cared less about their scores and more about what they were taking from the course!

First of all don't worry about your score in brainage, the whole point of that game is to train your brain, not test it.  If you want an accurate iq test, try looking for one on google, or just take a couple of them and then average your score.

An IQ of 100 is average (or "normal") with a standard deviation of about 18.

A score of 60 or 66 is WAY below normal, but don't panic!  Games like brainage or the tests you can take on the internet mean almost nothing.  They're worthless.

Don't worry about the Brain Age score, they only have a few games to score your IQ. The chance that you did not know how to play, or play them perfectly is hard. The average is around 100, but because they only said yours was 60 or 66 is incorrect. If you want to find your real IQ look on the internet for a simple program.  If you continue playing the game that IQ will easily increase.

I think, you're IQ should have nothing to do with your age.

IQ is intellegence quotient and part of the equation takes into account your age so your IQ SHOULD be roughly the same throughout life and I think the average is 110.

Well I have a high IQ for my age (Not trying to brag) I'm 15 and mine is well above the normal rate...... Basically I'm a nerd but the average IQ is 100 for around 7 and up.
