  1. there is no real ideal average temperature. just if you increase temps we will lose farmland to desertification, increase evaporation decreasing the availability of freshwater. if they are increased too quickly ecosystems will also suffer, eg krill. if you lower temps to much you also have problems so basicly if we are better off leaving the earth at its current temp instead of playing god.

    it looks like about 5 to 10 degrees warmer is about right for man.

    this would give the maximum amount of farm-able land and the lest desert.

    it also would give a optimum amount of rain fall.

  3. our society has evolved at the current temperature.

    there is no evidence that either warmer or cooler would be better.
