The ECHO is Toyota’s entry-level car that is one of the highest fuel-mileage passenger cars sold in the U.S. market. The ECHO was introduced for the 2000 model year and lasted until 2005 model was replaced by the Yaris in the Spring of 2006. The Echo features a higher roof and higher seating positions than what was traditionally found in the entry-level segment.

    avg is 35 mpg.

  2. Well, there are lots of choices that meet your requirements. Here is an article that might help:

    .

  3. a 1990's, or early 2000's honda, toyota, or kia.

  4. I would recommend the likes of a Seat Leon or Ibiza. They are economical, cheap on insurance, and low on tax.

If you can't quite afford one, then how about a 1.6 Vauxhall Astra? The 1.4 is exactly the same to insure and very underpowered, so I would recommend the 1.6.

If economy and tax is important to you, look for a diesel. A 1.9 TD Pug 306 would be good, and so would a VW Golf / Seat Leon with the 1.9 TDI engine.

Hope this is useful to you :)

  5. I learned in a Nissan Micra, which was good for me. I like the idea of a Fiesta though.

  6. ford fiesta. cheapish to buy, reasonable insurance and not bad at all on fuel!
