What is the ideal job? Medical or Court reporting?

I have been recently displaced and researching the job market in California, especially in San Diego.

I wanted to know if I should decide to return to school, is medical field such as medical billing/coding or court reporting would be ideal? Please help me decided.

Both would be repetitive after a time. However, in court reporting there is the actual participation of viewing and listening to trial testimony where you get to see how the human psyche is portrayed. And how the prosecution and the defense counsel strike deals called plea bargaining without consideration of the possibility of the accused being innocent.
