What is the ideal position of cooling tower is it across the wind direction or along to wind direction?

we have 4 Nos. of IDCT counter flow having capacity 40500 m3/hr. At present position is along the wind direction.

It's better to place them across the direction of prevailing winds. When they are along the direction, the last cooling tower in line is sitting in warmer air than it should be, and is therefore less efficient, because it's downwind from its brothers.
