  1. One of the main points for the restrictions is to prevent the loss of ground water sources and to keep runoff from damaging our lakes, rivers, ponds, streams, and eventually the ocean. In nature, biological materials fall to the ground in a more or less even pattern and are incorporated. In farming, those same organics are in huge amounts and they have to be distributed to protect the waters. Those large amounts are toxic in the environment and can also cause disease issues. If managed though they can provide a whole lot more from methane production to fertilizer, and more uses are being put to everyday uses.
