It prevents disease, reduces stress and gives you a source of self-esteem.  Most people think about the mind as though it were a separate entity from the rest of the body, but that is not at all the case; if you are unhealthy or overweight, the health of your brain is also at risk.  You will have a harder time concentrating, and be more at risk for brain diseases like Alzheimer's and dementia.


  2. first of all in today's society its aesthetically pleasing when someone has a toned, defined body

    it shows how you feel about yourself

    it's a precaution to many disesaes (like Type 2 Diabetes)

    ....and excerise gives you endorphins which make you happy

  4. its the most important thing in life. if you have every thing in this world and if you are not physically fit, then there is no point in having anything because you cannot enjoy what you have. you will even spent all you earnings for the same purpose

  5. Physical fitness is relevant to the genetic and physical make-up of a person.  Thus the importance of being physically fit is minimal for the body, but affects the mindset, which in turn affects your overall health.

    Everything in moderation if you're young and active, and a couple of good walks and a decent meal every day if you're older.  Even the Apostle Paul said "exercise profits little."  Walking is the key to physical fitness for all ages, and the knowledge of being physically fit keeps the mind healthy.

    Now, pardon me while I get a beer and watch a little TV.
