  1. Islam and Science do not belong in the same sentence. One is mythological the other is fact and proven theories.

  2. The verses 4 to 6 of Surah Yusuf (Chapter 12) relates to the dream Prophet Yusuf (Peace Be Upon Him) saw when he was young, its narration to Yakoob (Peace Be Upon Him), his father. The English translation of the verses are given below:-

Verse 4: (Remember) when Yusuf (Joseph) said to his father: "O my father! Verily, I saw (in a dream) eleven starts and the sun and the moon--I saw them pstrating themselves to me."

Verse 5: He (the father) said, "O my son! Relate not your vision to your brothers, lest they should arrange a plot against you.  Verily! Shaitan (Satan) is to man an open enemy!

Verse 6: "Thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of drams (and other things) and perfect His Favour on you and on the offspring of Ya'qub (Jacob), as He perfected it on your fathers, Ibrahim (Abraham) and Ishaq (Isaac) aforetime!  Verify, your Lord is All-Knowing, All-Wise."

The verses 36 to 42 of  relates to dreams of the two companions of Prophet Yusuf (PBUH) in jail and the interpretation of the dreams by Prophet Yusuf (PBUH).  The verses 43 to 49 of the same Surah also relate to the dream of the King of Egypt and the interpretation of the dreams by Yusuf (PBUH) which proved to be correct and which led to the ascention of the Prophet as Food Minister to the King.  The translation of the Verses 43 to 49 is given below:-

Verse 43: And the king (of Egypt) said: "Verily, I saw (in a dram) seven fat cors, whom seven lean ones were devouring, and seven green ears of corn, and (seven) others dry.  O notables! Explain to me my dream, if it be that you can inerpret dreams."

Verse 44: They said: "Mixed up false dreams and we are not skilled in the interpretation of dreams."

Verse 45: Then the man who was released (one of the two who were in prison) now at lenghth remembered and said: "I will tell you its interpretation, so send me forth."

Verse 46: (He said), "O Yusuf (Joseph), the man of truth! Explain to us (the dream) of seven fat cows whom seven lean ones were devouring, and of seven green ears of corn, and (seven) others dry, that I may return to the people, and that they may know."

Verse 47: [(Yusuf (Joseph)] said: "For seven consecutive years, you shall sow as usual and that (the harvest) which you reap you shall leave it in the ears, (all) except a little of that which you have guarded (stored).

Verse 48: "Then thereafter will come a year in which people will have abundant rain and in which they will press (wine and oil."

The Verse 100 relate to the fulfilment of the interpretation of the dream which Yusuf (Joseph) saw when he was young. Its translation is given below:-

Verse 100: And he raised his parents to the throne and they fell down before him prostrate.  And he said,: "O my father! This is the interpretation of my dream aforetime! My Lord has made it come true!  He was indeed good to me, when He took me out of the prison, and brought you (all here) out of the bedouin-life, after Shaitan (Satan) had sown enmity between me and my brothers.  Certainly my Lord is Most Courteous and Kind unto whom He wills.  Try He! Only He is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.

The Verses 36 and 41 of the same Surah relates to the dreams of two companions of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) in jail, their interpretation and the fulfilment of the interpretation of Prophet Yusuf (PBUH).  The translation of the verses is given below:-

Verse 36.  And there entered with him two young men in the prison.  One of them said: Verily, I saw myself (in a dream) pressing wine," The other said: "Verily, I saw myself (in a dream) carrying bread on my head and birds were eating thereof."  (They said): "Inform us of the interpretation of this.  Verily, we think you are one of the Muhsinun (doers of good),"

Verse 41: "O two companions of the prison! As for one of you, he (as a servant) will pour out wine for his lord (king or master) to drink; and as for the other, he will be crucified and birds will eat from his head.  Thus the case judged concerning which you both did inquire."

The interpreation of the dreams of the two companions in jail also came true. One was crucified and birds ate from his head and the other became King's attendant and poured out wine for his lord (King).

From the above verses of Holy Quran, it is clear that Allah bestows Knowledge of interpretation of dreams on some of his obedient servants.

  3. Peace...

Science is very important to islam because it proves islam is correct...such as the water cycle, the big bang theory, the moon, how the earth rotates, is ALL in the Quran 1400 years ago, so if science proves it today when it was proven 1400 years ago then Islam will be stronger.

Dreams are also important in Islam as the prophet said the "dream of a believer in the end times will be true", not that it is sayin that dreams before the end times isnt, because some are.

    Peace
