It is very important it is the only space we have to build on. It is our source of prosperity and technology. Everything we own was made from the earth in one form or another. Even the computer you are reading this from, the chips are silicon chips because they were once sand, the wires were once ore in the earth, the plastic was once plants.

Everything we have came from the earth and everything in the future will come from the earth as well.

I'm going to answers with my own words.

Definition the word earth.

1.    First let me tell you the word earth. The word "Earth" is an "Arabic Word". There no English word for earth. In Al-Quran surah Kursi "Wa ti Wal Ar". "AR" in Arabic is earth. The English has no word for earth and take the arabic word. Surah Kursi delivered to the last messenger and prophet Mohammad bin Abdullah in Mecca. When Jibraiel brought this Verse from the Sky, From Al-Mighty God ALLAH SWT to Prophet Mohammad, all Iblis and Satan feel very hot and run away from Mecca.

2.     I'm a Monotheist. I belief in one God. The creator and the Governor of the universe. God  made mankind to be agent on earth. Earth is very important to mankind. Earth is for mankind to stay temporarily from birth to death and later to eternity. There no other place than earth for mankind to stay. No other place except earth. That's why earth is very important to human. Adam been created from clay (many types of clay [soil-earth]). Adam been place on earth.
