  1. We love the colour, we value it's look and it is used in hidden things.

Also we will always value it's history. But nothing beats how it looks.

  2. Gold = the value of currency. Less Gold Less Currency Value.

More gold More currency value. Anyway, it's all lying. Vault does not have so many gold to store. lol. check it out. usually paper gold vs currency.

    Electronic parts use 24k gold.

  3. it backs up our paper money as everyone agreed to doing so back in the day.

  4. its not good for too much

its too soft to build things with

to be honest if it wasn't too rare it wouldn't be that desirable

its easy to work with i guess, and hard to get a hold of so it shows power?

if you rounded up all the gold ever made it would fill the gap under the eiffel tower

  5. The combination of beauty and rarity make it very valuable. It also has many special properties: It is very malleable (soft, can easily be formed into other shapes) and it is also an excellent electrical conductor.

  6. its rare and backs up our money

  7. its a preshase matel, and it was once used at currency.  Our curency now is based off of gold/silver reserves.

  8. rare, valuable, cool lookin, pretty, and more. idk know if this exists but check out http://gold.com

  9. Aside from its relative rarity -- and thus "value" as a monetary unit or base -- it is an "inert" metal, i.e. it reacts very little if at all with most other substances.  Thus it's used often to provide a "pure" connection or experience, whether it's gold-plated connections in your home theatre system or on the lip of a fine wine/champagne glass.  It's also incredibly soft -- and pretty -- so historically it's been easy to work as a metal for decorations.

  10. It is a bit of a myth that gold backs up currencies - it hasn't done that in a meaningful way since Bretton Woods. Although most major countries do have gold reserves, it is more like a rich person diversifying their wealth into cash, stocks and paintings.

The importance of gold, outside jewellery is:

1 - That we have all agreed that it has value thus it can be used as an alternative to currencies

2 - Excellent electrical conductivity and inert - this makes it useful for places where conductivity is more important than price (high-end stereo or computer equipment for example)

3 - The above plus and good thermal conductivity properties and being easy to work into thin sheets also makes it useful as a heat shield for spacecraft

  11. The importance of gold are as follows:

The largest industrial use  gold in the electric and electronics industry for plating contacts, terminals, printed circuits, and semiconductor systems.

Many competitions, and honors, such as the Olympics and the Nobel Prize, award a gold medal to the winner.

Gold is used as the reflective layer on some high-end Cd's

Automobiles may use gold for heat insulation. Clarine F1 uses gold foil in the engine compartment.

Gold can be made into thread and used in embroidery.

Gold alloys are used in restorative dentistry, especially in tooth restorations, such as crowns and permanent bridges

Gold is ductile and malleable, meaning it can be drawn into very thin wire and can be beaten into very thin sheets known as gold leaf.

Gold solder is used for joining the components of gold jewelry by high-temperature hard soldering or brazing. If the work is to be of hallmarking quality, gold solder must match the carat weight of the work, and alloy formulas are manufactured in most industry-standard carat weights to color match yellow and white gold. Gold solder is usually made in at least three melting-point ranges referred to as Easy, Medium and Hard. By using the hard, high-melting point solder first, followed by solders with progressively lower melting points, goldsmiths can assemble complex items with several separate soldered joints.

Gold produces a deep, intense red color when used as a coloring agent in cranberry glass.

In photography, Gold toners are used to shift the color of silver bromide black and white prints towards brown or blue tones, or to increase their stability. Used on sepia-toned prints, gold toners produce red tones. Kodak publish formulas for several types of gold toners, which use gold as the chloride

Electronics. The concentration of free electrons in gold metal is 5.90×1022 cm-3. Gold is highly conductive to electricity, and has been used for electrical wiring in some high energy applications (silver is even more conductive per volume, but gold has the advantage of corrosion resistance). For example, gold electrical wires were used during some of the Manhattan Project's atomic experiments, but large high current silver wires were used in the cauldron isotope separator magnets in the project.

Thin films of gold that reflect up to 98 percent of incident infrared radiation have been employed on satellites to control temperature and on space-suit visors to afford protection
