  2. The article in my fathers paper reads as folows:

    1.To save succeding generations from scrooge of war, which         twice in our lifetime has bought untold sorrow to mankind.

    2. To reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights.

    3. To establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising and other sources of international law can be maintained.

    4. To promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom.

    5. To practice tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbours.

    6.To unite our strength to maintain international peace and security.

    There are a few more but basically that is the gist of the article in this newspaper.

  4. Nothing anymore. The UN became the playground for the worlds most inhumane dictatorships. They should change the name to Useless Nothing, or reform the organisation.

  5. I think that the only thing the UN efficiently delivers to any country is UNICEF- certainly a worthwhile endeavor but nowhere near sufficient for the needs of all countries to maintain stability in this global economy.
