I am now on a salary: SEK 19 500/month. I will ask for a raise to SEK 22 000. But how do I find out what the % increase is? How do I calculate it?

  1. first, (22000-19500)=2500

then, to find out the  increase in % just divide 2500 by your initial income and then multiply it by 100

    i.e,

    (2500*100)/19500

    =12.82

  2. It will be (22000 - 19500) / 19500, so the increase in your case is 12.8%

  3. Increase = 22000 - 19500 = 2500

    % increase = 2500 x 100 / 19500 =12.8
