What is the interaction between valium and imitrex?

  1. There shouldn't be much of any reaction. Immitrex affects blood pressure to directly address the cause of a migraine, while valium is a Benzodiazapine (a class of psychoactive drug primarily used to treat anxiety and insomnia). Drowsiness can be a side effect of Imitrex, and Benzodiazapines by nature make one drowsy, so I suppose the Imitrex could increase that effect (not to any dangerous level though). All in all, like I stated at the beginning, there shouldn't be any noticeable interaction. P.S. I assume you take the imitrex for migraines and the valium to help calm you (or even help you sleep) when you're having one of those wretched headaches.
