it's not so clear on the train website...there is no direct line from telaviv airport to jerusalem, so you need to switch trains. they suggest a number of stations, but which is the best?

  1. It makes no sense to go by train from Ben-Gurion Airport in the Lod area (not in Tel Aviv at all) to Jerusalem. If you absolutely want to do it that way, you're probably better off going from the Lod station, but consult http://www.israrail.org.il/english/

    via e-mail or phone.

The more common way to go is by bus or with a shared taxi service (ie, Nesher). These are readily available at the airport.

The bus ride to the Jerusalem Central Bus Station takes around 45 minutes, depending on traffic. But, if you take a shared taxi from the airport for around $10, it will take you to your exact destination (ie, hotel or apartment), and you won't have to drag your luggage around.

  2. tequila got it on the nose... use the "nesher" taxi which is located on the arrivals level... if you exit from the middle door, take to the right and it's there.

the taxi takes about an hour, it may stop at some spots on the way to drop other people off.

it costs 45 nis... (about 14$)  unless the price was raised a bit.
