What is the interesting thing about the tsunami?

1. is there anything that we can know that tsunami is going to occur?

2. what is the intresting thing about the tsunami?

3. if you can ask a question about the tsunami what would you ask? and if you would be able to answer it what would answer? its ok if you can't answer.

please can some one help me with this...this is really important for me and i really have to do this for school..it has to be done by today so pleaseeeeee...i will be really greatful to you if u help me with this........thanx a lot

1. Seismic earthquake monitors are world wide above ground and under ground and under water.  More have been laid in place recently along the Indian Ocean region that is prone to earthquake activity.

2. Interesting that the wave can travel across the entire Pacific Ocean at speeds in the hundreds of miles an hour under the water, and then, destroy everything in its path which sometimes is an entire Continental shoreline.

That is intense and seems so impossible that it could only happen in a movie.

For me the interesting thing is that they have a very long wave length.  This means the whole ocean moves instead of just a few feet at the top and when it hits it keeps on hitting for several minutes.  It flows up the shore like a river and keeps coming. It takes a long time for it to receed.

1. well when one is about to come and it's to late for you to do anything, the water will recede back into the ocean. Sometime like a football field or bigger. It just depends on how long it has been traveling in the water, the speed, and how big of a quake started it.
