  2. i think its by John Adams - the american composer. I will try and track it down, as I am pretty sure I have it on CD!  if you google his name he has a website or you can listen to clips on amazon.

    Got it!  Its Philip Glass Symphony No 2.  You can get it on itunes and amazon for not very much.  i can burn you one if you want!
