  1. You don't really have cattle ranching in the tropical rainforest. The cattle ranches are where the tropical rainforest used to be.

Cattle ranching is an important source of farming activity in many Amazonian countries like Brazil, Colombia and Peru just to name a few. They export of beef to developed countries such as USA, Canada and Japan is extremely profitable and brings in valuable revenue to poor South American countries. As a result, the Amazonian governments encourage cattle ranching by offering financial aid and tax rebates to cattle ranchers. This has resulted in extensive areas of the tropical rainforest being burnt and cut down so that grass and pasture can be grown for cattle.

The life of the cattle rancher (or his hired cowboys)  is much like a combination of old west open range ranching and that of a sheer herder only on horseback.  They must ride herd on the cattle, keeping then protected from predators and on good grazing at all times.

  2. The job of a male cattle rancher would be the same as the job of a female cattle rancher, Tropical rainforest or the middle of Arizona.

  3. I guess it would depend on the following,

    1) Is the rancher male or the cattle

    2) What time of year are the cattle moving into the rainforest

    3) Are these beef or dairy cattle

    4) Does the rancher wear a felt or a straw hat

    5) Does the rancher like ice cream sandwiches

  4. id go with taking care of the livestock and maintenace on the ranch

hence the job title "cattle rancher" connect the dots, this isnt brain surgery
