  1. IMC is the same as normal marketing communication tools

    They include traditional media, television & radio, advertising, PR & sales promotion, direct marketing

    Non-traditional media include E-marketing (opt-in email, i-kiosks, i-TV)

    inorder for IMC to be effective, tools must be integrated.   if not resources will be wasted.

    lets give an example  of an ice cream product

    Stage 1 : Use PR : to gain credibility of product or to tell public when product is launching

    stage 2 : advertising : television, print media to broadcast about ice cream product

    stage 3: use sales promotion , such as coupon cutting, percent off for purchasing ice cream during a specific timeline

    before media planning is launch,   Objectives must be SMART.  SMART means

    S- specific

    M - measurable

    A - Actionable

    R - revelant

    T - timeline.
