What is the largest Copperhead in the world.?

  1. The record is a southern copperhead which measured 52 inches. Copperheads are generally a small snake. In Oklahoma you have southerns, which are the largest subspecies, but they usually don't grow past 3 to 3 1/2 feet long. You also have broadbandeds and Osage copperheads. Broadbandeds rarely grow past 2 1/2 feet in length. I've bred females in the past that were just under 2 feet long. I can't find any info on an Oklahoma state record. You could possibly contact the University of Oklahoma herpetology department for that info.


  2. Australia also has a snake called a copperhead,  there's is also venomous but is strictly a cannibal and resides in Tasmania, so it depends on witch your talking about
