  1. The Blue whale is the biggest animal ever known to science.  Bigger than the dinosaurs, and WAY bigger than an elephant.

    Even the Giant sea squid are bigger than elephants.  An elephant isn't much bigger than an orca, like Shamoo.


  2. well..if you mean largest mammal then it would have to be the blue whale...but since you said animal, that includes superorganisms such as choral.  the great barrier reef is more than 2000k long!

    there are also trees that stem multiple genetically identical trees that are on the same root-system that are technically the same animal.

    and then there's the the gian sequoia which is the largest single tree...

    there's a fungual mass here in oregon that is said to be 2200 sq acres!

    but...simply put - the largest mammal is the blue whale
