I thought they were named Dumbo Rats, but the only difference between the Dumbo and Regular rat is thier ears are bigger. I want a rat that is bigger in size than a regular sized rat. And I want to know where to buy one.

  1. Go to africa....you will find huge ******* rats

  2. IM NOT SURE WHERE TO PURCHASE ONE BUT I BELIEVE THE NORWAY RAT IS THE LARGEST

  3. If you live near the water, you can get one for free! I've seen wharf rats the size of raccoons or small dogs. You might get some horrible disease, but what the hey?  Your rat would be the envy of all your friends' rats.

    Good luck! (Seriously, good luck.)

  4. Norwegian rats are bigger then roof rats. But males are typically bigger then females. I have 4 rats, 2 males and 2 females and they are the same age, about 10 months old, and the males are at least 2 inches longer then the females.

  5. gross...

  6. Largest rats being kept for pets are The Gambian Pouched Rat  &  Emins     not too many breeders about yet   & price for one is around £250.00 each,  I  am saving up for one, but can't help with where to get one from, as apparently it can takes months of searching for one to come up for sale...someone said the Norway Rat, but I thought the Norway Rat is the Ship or Roof Rat that only grows a third the size of a regular, anyway whatever he is I love my little dude, the roof rat is very outgoing, very human orientated and seeing as I didn't know what he was when I first got him , he integrated well with the regular Top eared & Dumbos, good luck, in your Quest.........

  7. The largest one might be a Luke-Russian Rat?

  8. why do you want one?  as a pet or as snake food?  a large rat is just a mature rat.  you get a baby and feed it and it will grow.  the tail will be the same length as the body.  I've had pet rats grow to a foot long plus the tail.
