  1. LACK OF SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY!

I won't accept that all people are ignorant and not having awareness. Even the educated people who knows better about need for conservation are not ready to adopt the conservation measures in their day to day life. Like 'mercy starts from home', the sense of conserving nature/ environment should first start from each and every individual and in particular from educated mass. If one is selfish in asking that when I am not going to live for hundred years, why should I worry about conservation, it clearly shows lack of sense of responsibility. As it is rightly replied early in one of the answers for this question, it is definitely 'inhumanity of humans'! Everyone, being the human anywhere on the earth, should assume their social responsibility  to leave a environmentally healthy planet to our future generations as we had been gifted by our past generations.

  2. It's confusion with preservation.

  3. human greed

  4. When you are telling a lie.

  5. The largest problem, I believe, is that people don't seem to understand that most of the natural resources we use (oil, coal, fossil fuels, water) are not unlimited. We will run out of these one day. Therefore we must try to save these natural resources as much as possible.Basically the largest problem in conservation is people's negative attitude towards nature.

  6. The inhumanity of humans.

  7. Saving natural areas from human development.

  8. Ignorance.

  9. Making people understand that the consumer decisions we make really do affect the quality of the world we live in.

  10. Conservation problems are numerous and diverse but they all have one thing in common: they all have human origins.

Conservation of our planet's biological diversity involves protecting habitat in hot spots throughout the world and in areas where human activities have caused habitat fragmentation and degradation.  Managing invasive species is the other great effort underway.  It's an uphill battle, but the success stories are there, too.

Education is an important tool and can enable the public at large to join with their governments in protecting some of the beautiful places we have here on Earth.
