    The Amazon is the second longest river in the world- about 4,000 miles long. Third longest river is the Yangtze- 3,964 miles long and the fourth longest is Huang He- 3,395 miles long are both in China. Ob-Irtysh is the fifth longest river- 3,362 miles long in Russia.

  19. The largest river (by sheer volume) is the Amazon River in Brazil. It is larger than the next top ten rivers after it put together.  The Amazon River accounts for over 1/5 of the world's total river flow.  

    Officially, the Nile River in Africa is the world's longest river. It is 6650 km long, whereas the Amazon is 6400 km long, although recent research shows that the Amazon may actually be longer (it is actually extremely hard to get a good measurement).
