  1. Banco Galicia has $6.5 Billion in assets and is a local, priavte Bank

Banco Rio is the 2nd largest private bank with $6 billion in assets.  It is owned by Banco Santander and will be changing to that name soon in Argentina, as well.  BBV Banco Frances also has $6 billion and is a Spanish Bank.

Banco Nacion and Banco de La Provincia Buenos Aires are publicly owned and are bigger than any of the private banks listed above with $20 billion and $8 billion, respectively.

They are all headquartered in Buenos Aires Capital Federal

Citibank has only $2.5 billion in assets, it is not one of the Top Banks locally.  It is actually quite small.
