For individual non-audit cases, the last date for filing income tax returns for A.Y. 2008-09 is 31st july, 2008

31st July 2008 for the person having income from salaries and interest.  For non-salaried person the last date depends upon the nature and volume of their incomes or receipt.  In case their income or revenues are subject to audit, then it is 31st Oct., 2008.

However, the past experience is that the last date as 31st July gets extended.
