  1. I think you can be a good preschool and use a curriculum.  There are many out there!  I like the ones that do allow you to spend more time with the children and less time planning!  I like the look of Pinnacle, although I haven't bought it...very expensive!  If I write a grant for curriculum that is the one I will get!  I will look through my shelves and see what I have as far as great curriculum books.  I have so much...book addict, that's me!  I think you need to decide what your goals are and what your expectations are for your children and then gear your search to that!  Be careful of some curriculum kits that have really cookie cutter art or just plan crafts!  Some are ok, but every day is to much!  JMO!!  Good question and if you get some great recommendations will you post them?

  2. If you are a good preschool you won't go with a curriculmn. Preschool is all about learning to get along with others, playing, learning things like art-sitting and listening to a story, introduction to music, and such. They will get curriculmn soon enough when they get to Kindy. Why are we so anxious for our children to grow up. Let them play for goodness sakes. We give them the tools to explore and learn on their own at this age.

  3. U need to clarify ur question! r u talking about 0-3 age or 3-6 age? If both then my suggestion is to search about ECCD (Early Childhood Care and Development) material and courses. It is the latest tool to learn and apply at home as well as at preschools.

I have done specialization in ECCD from Japan and Singapore which i found effective in personal as well as professional life. Currently working in Pakistan.
