I was a bumper to bumper fender bender recently. The hitch on the truck went through my radiator, now my car is undriveable. i was told that it may be illegal for drivers to operate verhicles with the hidden hitch exposed if it is not being used to prevent this type of damage in this kind of situation.

  1. Obviously you were the striking vehicle, and at fault, or you would not be looking for a loophole to get out of paying for damages that you caused!

I do not know what the rules are in Canada about trailer hitches, but I do know that unless the truck was backing up, you were at fault because you were the one that hit the truck!!

You get to pay for your negligence!!

    Sorry!!!

  2. your right it should be but you wont get far with our legal system

  3. it's not on the books as a motor vehicle offense, this is a parking violation and even then it varies by city bylaw, if you hit him, yer outta luck.... if he'd have had a trailer on that hitch you'd have only hit him 20 or so feet sooner

  4. I don't know of any but at the same time try this site and maybe it will help and good luck.
