What is the law in TN concerning cedar shakes for roofing?

I have heard that cedar shakes are considered a fire hazard and are prohibited in TN unless "grandfathered" in prior to the law being passed.

I have never heard of them being outlawed..but this is very possible for laws change everyday...I do know if you have them now days, it is extremely hard to get your house insured, if you can find anyone at all..if you do the cost will be obnoxious
