  1. I'll just add the energy lost to friction is changed partially to heating of the cord, yoyo and air,  and some energy is changed to the breaking down of the cord by a little bit.


  2. Yo!

    Yo-yo goes down.

    Yo-yo will lose some energy to friction.

    Yo-yo comes back up with less energy.  Not as high.

    Process repeats until all energy dissipated as friction.
