  2. No such thing. All stereotypes. If you raise a dog right, he'll be the most loving dog ever regardless of breed. Than again, you can raise a dog the wrong way, and you're in for trouble.

  3. any kind of untrained terrier who will find a friend in a flower pot if left alone

  4. The least affectionate are the dogs of any breed who came from puppy mills/pet stores and back yard breeders. Often these dogs are so poorly socialized that they are never able to bond with their people.

  5. I know a poodle that's not too friendly.

  6. All dogs are born with love in them

they loose this due to poor owners, so any breed can become less affectionate in time, it depends on how it is raised

so you cannot say just one breed is like this, all breeds can become distant...and that's a shame

  7. some breeds are not as "clingy" as others.

I knew a couple of Afghan Hound owners:these dogs must be on a leash at all times, otherwise the dog just leaves the owner and goes for a "walk" by itself!

I guess you would say independent, not cold or unloving?

i meet chow-chows:same thing, cant be off the leash, they don't follow the owner, don't follow instructions or any type of training.

  8. to leonardo: my friend had 2, theyre very affectionate. and they get jealous VERY easy!

but i can think of like a doberman or pitbull. i know those CAN be affectionate breeds but the majority of them are not so nice. when i was little i had 2 german shepherds...big but they loved me lol

  9. definately terriors

  10. lasa apsos and most toy breeds

  11. Hmmm...

    Good question!

    I really don't know???

    Thats a hard one,

being that i haven't meet every breed out there...

Although i really don't think there is a least affectionate breed.

i think it more depends on the dog it self,

rather the the breed in general.

So i have no clue :D

    Very good question... Starred!

  12. All breeds have those who are affectionate and those who are not.  They have personalities just like people do so I don't think you can choose one breed that would be considered least affectionate.

  13. chihauha's or chow chow's

i had a chow chow and it attacked the mailman several times!!! poor guy he was just doing his job!!

  14. My Shiba Inu isn't super affectionate.  She's more like a cat.  She'll cuddle, but only when she wants to.  She's also in her "teenager" phase, so that could be part of it too.

ADD: It's not necessarily due to poor owners.  Some dogs just aren't as cuddly and affectionate as others.
