I've owned a 2000 Nissan Maxima 5 speed (starting with only 40k miles on it) now for 2 years and have put close to $5,000 into it in repair!!! Edmund's rated the maxima at a best buy, but for me it has been one of the most unreliable cars I have ever owned!!!

Now that you know were I'm coming from, I'm looking for something very reliable, that I can fit in (i'm 6' 6"), and has a low repair cost (if that's not to much to ask). I've done some research and came up with this list of possibilities. Please give me some feedback one what you think (or have owned) to be the most reliable.

Honda Accord

Toyota Camry

Ford Focus

Crown Victoria (CV)

?

Thank you!!!

  1. I think toyota camry is good for you. although i suggest one online car portal which provide you detail information on car models.

  2. Civics have TONS of front leg room. Unbelievable to sit in, I'm 5'9 and with the seat all the way back I can't even touch the pedals and have a  foot of head room. This applies to slightly older Civics, haven't sat in a new one.

  3. The SCION XB has incredible room , both leg and headroom for such a small car, check it out...you'll be pleasantly surprised

  4. well i thought i was in the same boat with you til i read  6' 6" but im close, im 6' 2" and 260 lbs and i drive a 97 honda civic, its a great car gets 28 mpg but im not sure if you would be comfortable in it. but some of the newer models seem a little bigger, im not sure how much you want to spend but the 06 and up models seem more roomy, and maybe a 4 door would be bigger also. and they get over 30 mpg factory estimate.

    good luck

  5. I know a few people who have the Focus and believe me it's not the greatest for tall people.  I'd probably stick with the Accord or the Camry.

I, myself, just bought a Toyota Matrix and the gas mileage is pretty good and my 6'3" husband is perfectly comfortable in it.  :)  Good luck!

  6. my dad is 6'6 and he drive a geo metro he drove 120 miles everyday for about 5 years and last year the transmition went on it  he just fixed it and is going again.
