Easy! Acquire 1/4 inch non-stretch rope. Tie bow and aft of kayak to front and back bumpers. Slip blanket or piece of carpet under kayak. Use another piece of rope to go over kayak and through top of window openings. Secure. Check fastenings after a mile of travel.

i saw a car that had used PVC and rope to make a rack and it looked cool and seemed to suit the purpose. he tied the pvc (straight pipe with an elbow on each end) to side racks built into the car with the rope.
