  1. All the Winter months in NY are the least expensive.

  2. In the Northeast, the cheapest months are January, February (excluding Valentine's Day) and March.

  3. Probably during the winter on days not around major holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's day). Not many people want to get married when there's a bunch of snow on the ground, so that's why venues cut down their prices, just to get business during these slow months.

  4. All winter months will be the cheapest, with the exception new year celebration

  5. I don't live in NY, but I think the wedding season is the same in places with similar wedding (I'm near Toronto).

January, February, March are always the cheapest months because they are the deep winter.  December is typical prices because of Christmas parties and the popularity of Christmas/New Year's weddings.

November used to offer some discount, but apparently is is getting a lot more popular too.  My fiance and I picked to get married in November because we wanted to do it in the "off season" and our families cringed at the idea of flying-in in January.  But half the venues we looked at our date was booked (more than a year in advanced) and all the other places we talked to the planners there said that they were starting to see a lot more November weddings (like similar numbers to October bookings).  We got a bit of a deal for our mid-November booking because it's the week before Christmas parties start, but that some venues/caterers we looked at wouldn't offer us a deal for November at all.

You could also save a lot by doing your wedding on Friday or Sunday.  We got venue quotes that waived up to $1500 in room booking fees and 30-50% off the per person catering prices.  Just another way to save!

    Hope that helps. Good Luck!

  7. I believe it would be January-March

  8. I agree, winter months... or during the week any time of the year.  Having a friday wedding cuts down on costs tons!

  9. All winter months will be the cheapest, with the exception of Christmastime (venues may get lots of business for Christmas parties and therefore won't cut you as good a deal as in, say, February or March).
