Start off by promoting affiliate products.  This will cost you nothing, just signup with an affiliate and drive traffic to their sales page.  I'm not sure if you have any experience in doing this, if you don't, after a while you will want to focus on using your own squeeze page to capture their email addresses.  Offer a "FREE REPORT" about the affiliate product you are promoting.  They signup, get the free report and in the free report you can include some good free info about the affiliate product and your affiliate links to the website.  Follow up to them a few days later with another email, offering some more quality free info.  Setup a lot of autoresponders going out no more than once every 3 days.  You can do this with as many affiliate products as you like.  When you have done this for a while and understand how things work, look to make your own information product.  Then you will be promoting your own product, collecting names for your list.  This is where the real money is online, selling your own product.  Hope that helps.

people names on them.

Put them in boxes lying side ways on a little pillow.

Then there's the switch the pamphlet idea.

Then there's the old drop off gig. Order from another company

and send the stuff to the other guy.

That all depends on you.  For instance, Las Vegas NV there has plenty of items people want from around the world that cannot such as Las Vegas dice or playing cards, collectibles, memorabilia that cannot be found anywhere else.  Take a look around your area and see if there is something unique that you can sell that most other place don't have.

If its something you want to make, again this depends on your talents.  There are plenty out there who paint, weld, sew, glue, and hammer things.  There have also been crazy and weird stuff that has sold like Jesus burnt on a piece of toast and potato shaped as a heart....
