I have accepted a new job and will be relocating from Connecticut to Virginia. I will be flying down with just a weeks worth of things, but need to have just clothes and persoanl items shipped (no furniture). Can anyone tell me the best way to have these items shipped? Least expensive?

Thanks so much!

  1. Probably FedEx freight if you have big or heavy boxes of stuff. Also you can ship items on a Greyhound bus, which most people don't know. You don't have to be a rider on the bus to do this, either. They just put your boxes in the baggage compartment of a bus headed to your new destination and then you pick them up at the bus station in VA. Call each company and compare.  Good luck on your new job!! : )

  2. Believe it or not, the post office is often the cheapest way to ship things, so in addition to checking the rates with the bus, check the postal rates for the weights you want to ship.
