Question:

What is the least fattening drink at Starbucks?

I always order a small Chai Tea Latte, but I'm curious as to whether or not I'm slowing giving myself a heart attack.

Anything less fattenting?

Or is it one of the more healthy items?

  2. Yes,just the espresso. I drink 4 shots over ice in a venti glass. ( Maybe not as heathy as it could be)Also their passion tea has zero calories. have them sweeten it up with splenda. It's Delicious over ice. Make sure you tell them Splenda,though.They have those lite Frappicinos too. They are really good,but do have some calories in them.

  6. If you get the small chai with nonfat milk, its not TOO bad. You aren't getting huge amounts of caffeine either, but the chai syrup does have sugar in it so it can add up. So I wouldn't call it healthy but you could certainly do a lot worse though.

    Black coffee is definitely the least fattening item there, but I personally don't care for straight coffee. I like the lattes. So just try to stick with the nonfat milk, no whip cream (it adds at least 90 calories per serving and thats if the baristas don't use extra), and maybe try some of the sugar free syrups if you want to save on sugar there too. Or I just order a regular drink (like the small chai) minus one pump of syrup because they actually taste just as good without quite so much syrup.

  8. Drinking plain black coffee will not only fail to fatten you up, but the caffein kickstarts your metabolism and can help you burn more calories. Just sweeten it with Splenda or the like if you crave sweetness. If it's too bitter, a dash of skim milk can do wonders, as milk proteins tend to bind bitter alkaloid compounds effectively (as in milk chocolate).

    they are both pretty healthy for your body compared to all the other drinks starbucks serves.

    Actually, from I recall Starbucks took over TAZO Tea which made a very good Chai tea bag. If you get two bags and steep them till the water is strong you can add steamed no fat milk to it and add artificial sweetener to it. You will basically get the same results as a chai latte with out the syrups they add to the chai mix.

  12. You can try the skinny lattes. They make them using non fat milk and sugar free syrups. I tried the skinny caramel latte and it was good. Only 90 calories for a tall --- compared to other drink which contain more than 150 calories.  Hope this helps.
