What about along the base of a sliding glass door? Can't run the wires under the carpet or in the walls.

  1. While the methods given by the other answerers are low-cost and easy, if you own the house or are concerned about damage, you can buy baseboards that have cable channels built into them. I have them in the kitchen and living room, to run phone, satellite and speaker cables. They are hollow and mount onto clips you s***w into the wall. They come in various finishes, colors and styles. When you use them, there is absolutely no cable out in the open. A small hole at the appropriate places to exit the cable, and you have as sleek and professional a look as you can get. To get past a sliding door, you can get floor cable channel. It's a long rubber strip that humps up in the middle and has an open space for cables there. They usually come with double-sided tape to hold them down. I use that in front of my balcony door. These cost more than a staple gun, but I think the $55 was well spent.

  2. T25 Dude!  Just did all around my liv room and along the French Doors to my patio.. I cannot remember what I paid for it but it works and is the least "obtrusive"

    I love that word!

    Best of luck

  3. The best way to secure coax. to the baseboard would be to use a T25 stapler with T25 staples. You can by them for around 30 bucks. Another option is nail hooks. You can buy them just about anywhere. They are a hook that goes around the cable with a nail to nail into the baseboard.
