  1. most places it is 48 inches or 55 lbs.

  2. well the law here is they have to be in a car seat/ booster seat until they are like 8 years old.

  3. You'll have to look up your states local car seat laws.  That being said, ALL toddlers should still be in some form of car seat.  Either a 5 point harness car seat or a high back booster depending on height and weight.

*California state law is that the child must be in an approved child safety seat to either the age of 6 or 60+ pounds.  If your child does not meet either of those requirements, then they MUST still be in a safety seat.

  4. Where I live, in Missouri, the law says they must be in a car seat until they are 8 years old or 80 lbs. whichever comes first. I think that a booster seat should be used until they are eight and that they should stay in the backseat until they are teens because it's been shown the safest place and safety is the most important thing when it comes to your kids. You wouldn't want to get in an accident and lose your child and wonder what might have been if they'd been properly fastened. You should try looking up California motor vehicle laws to see the regulations in your state. Good luck!
