my cheater said that it 16, so does that mean that if you are 16 year old, that u get to have s*x with anyage??

u can have s*x with 16 to 44? (u know what i mean)

Age of consent is 14. It's not provincial but federal law. A male adult can be charged with statutory rape even if the girl is 19 under the right circumstances.

here in america you can do it at age 5 if you wanted to haha

not that any kid should even know what s*x is at that age.

but yeah i am guessing that it does mean you can have s*x with anyone at any age, including an old 44 year old saggy woman. haha

The age of consent in Canada is set federally, as are all criminal laws.  The Tackling Violent Crime Act, which took effect on May 1, 2008, recently raised the general age of consent to sixteen.  (It had been fourteen since 1892.)  There is a two-year age-gap waiver for twelve and thirteen olds, and a four-year age-gap waiver for fourteen and fifteen-year-olds.  Federal law sets the age for anal intercourse at eighteen, but two provinces, Ontario and Quebec, have declared this unconstitutional, citing bias against homosexual males.

So, yes, it's legal, unless the older person is in a position of authority over the minor.  But that doesn't make it right.  Anyone more than five or so years older than a sixteen-year-old ought to have more maturity and self-respect.

i don't know about Canada but some places its a max. age gap of 2 years so if your 16 the oldest the other person can be is 18

but if your 18 then you could LEGALLY have s*x with a 44 year old (i wouldn't suggest it tho)
