What is the legal age to rent a hotel room in Dublin, Ireland?

I am 16, and am hoping to travel to Dublin next year when I'm 17. Will I be able to rent a hotel room by then even though I'm not 18? I'm also looking at buying my plane ticket and hotel together, so will that make a difference?

Depends on the star rating i work in a 5* and they only allow 21yo to rent a room........Its 17 or 18 in most 2 or 3*
