There is no legal age to purchase alcohol like beer or wine in France. 16 for Vodka for ex.

to drink in a bar it's normal 16, but not respected

18 for clubbing. I guess it's the same for alcohol, but I go in bars and buy alcohol since I am 15 so I can't tell you.
