I have a qustion about the legal dinking age on cruise lines. I will be returning from my second deployment later this year and would like to go on a cruise with some of my friends when we get back. The problem is I will still only be 20 years old. Are there any cruise lines that would allow me to drink?? I want to be able to drink on the ship?? Anywhere close to the US such as the caribbean, south america, or mexico??

  1. 18 once in international waters for mosts then in port its whatever the port laws say.

  2. If you are going with someone who is over 21 you are home free.  All drinks on ship are paid for by using your cruise card.  If one of your friends is over 21 just use his/her card to buy drinks.  The bartender doesn't care one bit and will not card you.  Then pay your friends' tab for what you owe.

  3. Better double check that with the cruise line.

Carnival, for example has a 21 policy regardless of where they are ported.

Unlike the airlines, they tend to check.

  4. On the Royal Caribbean ships you have to be 21.  But if you are going with parents you they can sign a waiver if you are between 18-20.  Here is more information on there website

  5. they are 21 all ships are 21 it was 18 once in international waters for beer and wine but now 21
