  1. Yes 15 yrs old in NZ and 18 to drink.

Read about getting your license from the Land Transport website - http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/licensing/index....

Getting your driver licence: Where to go, what to take, fees, eyesight checks, medical certificates. What the 'organ donor' question on the application form means. How to book a practical test by phone or online.

Car licence: Information on the learner, restricted and full licence stages, fees, where to go to sit a test and what to take with you, and eyesight checks and medical certificates.

Motorcycle licence: Information on the basic handling skills test, learner, restricted and full licence stages, fees, where to go to sit a test and what to take with you, and eyesight checks and medical certificates.

Heavy vehicle licence: Information on the licence classes, learner and full licence stages, fees, where to go to sit a test and what to take with you, and eyesight checks and medical certificates.

Licence endorsements: A brief explanation of when the endorsements (D, F, R, T, W, P, V, I and O) are required. Links to individual factsheets.

...... and the official New Zealand road code online is at http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/roadcode/index.h...

  2. yes it is 15 years i got mine there when i was 15 its 18 to drink

  3. at school they can do a course from 14 but 15 is the legal age

  4. Yes it is true it is 15 unfortunately

The drinking age is 18 that is really sad.

  5. You can get your learner's licence at 15yo. At the shortest (providing you do your Defensive Driving course), you could in theory have your full licence by the time you are 16 and a half.

Drinking and smoking age is 18.

  6. You can obtain a learners licence at 15 and a restricted license after 6 months but you cannot obtain a full licence until you have had a restricted licence for 18 months so although you can legally learn to drive, and drive under supervision at 15-16 the earlier possible time you could have a full license would be at 17

  7. Legal age for driving is 15.

You can legally buy alcohol at the age of 18.

  8. it used to be 15, now 16

  9. You can sit a theory test to get your 'learners' license as soon as you turn 15, so you are right! You must hold this for 6month before you can sit your restriced practical driving test. Once you have gained this you can drive withotu a supervisor between 6am and 10pm.

You hold this for 18 months (12 months if you complete a defensive driving course) before sitting another test. THEN you have your full licence. Phew.

So the process starts at 15, you wont recieve a full drivers licence until you are over 16 and a bit- closer to 17.

And the legal drinking age here is 18, buying your own alcohol. But of course you can drink under parental supervision. =D
