What is the legal gambling age in Ireland?

Hey there planning on taking a trip to Ireland and I know the drinking age is 18 but does anyone know what happens to be the legal gambling age?

18 I think, there's a small betting place near where I live and it says on the door,'Must be 18 to enter.'

In most of Europe, you are a legal adult at 18.  This means you can do whatever an adult can do.  Most countries don't have that weird twilight zone like America does where you are an adult, but still get treated like a child.
