What is the legal length of a handicapped parking space?

The above answer is correct but it does vary from state to state like in my hometown the spaces are 24 feet long by 9 1/2 feet but in some areas you need a 60 inch aisle for cars and a 96 inch aisle for vans....call your city managers office.
