when a handicapped blue curb and sign is placed in front of a private home on a public street .... what is the minimum and the maximum length that parking space can be ????

  1. According to the American Disabilities Act, "accessible parking spaces for cars must have an access aisle that is at least five-feet wide." State and local governments can also enfore their own building codes, so you might want to check with your local government agency.


  2. The above answer is correct but it does vary from state to state like in my hometown the spaces are 24 feet long by 9 1/2 feet but in some areas you need a 60 inch aisle for cars and a 96 inch aisle for vans....call your city managers office.
