My neighbor has a pit bull and she and I witnessed it killing a kitten today. The kitten was impaled and was convulsing on the ground so the neighbor chic drowned it, assuming it was the most human thing she could do. I don't know if I agree or disagree with that part, but what could really be done at that point? I just want to know if she has any legal obligation to put the dog down? Should I tell our landlord (we have the same one). We have had an ongoing war about her not leashing her dogs in the front....

  1. i live in idaho and this guy that lived down the road from his dog attacked another dog and the state ordered it to be put down because it was so viciouse

  2. You are legally obligated to report what you witnessed to the local law enforcement, whether that be police or sheriff's dept., and you are also legally obligated to report what you witnessed to your landlord.

The owner of the pit bull is legally obligated to surrender her animal to law enforcement where it most likely will be taken to animal control for euthanasia. Likewise, she is obligated to surrender herself to law enforcement for having cruelly killed the kitten by drowning.

Now quit playing on the computer and go call the cops.

  3. call your animal control and tell them..this could have been a child

  4. tell the SPCA, rather than yor landlord, and they shd be best able to advise u
