i used to live in florida and most places have alleys behind their houses for garbage & limb pickup.what we did was dump clippings in the alley and let the truck run over it.we do that with old magnolia cones that fall on the ground.it helps to fill in holes.i live in ga. now and sometimes the trucks get stuck.i hope i helped .

Throwing them away on garbage day, no joke.

Not alot of people down here are very big on composting or recycling for that matter.
