  1. The world records include 42, 43 and 44 years old are the claims for comet goldfish. One of the largest in the UK is a comet which is 15.4" long (excluding tail).

    In good quality tanks average fancy goldfish should reach around 6"-8" excluding the tail, and commons/comets/shubunkins in ponds (they live longer in ponds) generally get 12"-14". In healthy environments they generally should live for around 20 years or so.
