  1. I think they have dates on the tags that tell you when you should have a technician come in and take a look at it, don't they?


  2. i thought i remember being told 5 years.

    i think theres a way to check it too to see if its still working on the container, that should prolly be done at a minimum of once a year just in case.


  3. The home extinguisher is only good for about 2-3 years.  In time the powder will settle and all you need to do is tune it over and give it a few gentle taps to loosen it powder back up..  I would go ahead and replace it at least once every 5 years.  The gage might stick.

  4. There is usually either a display guage showing if they are charged, or there is a test popup button. Push the button down and if it pops up quickly and firmly it is still good.
